Ashley was a very hands-off bride and left most of the planning up to their coordinator. The Bride Ashley Muldoon, 31 and a writer The Groom Brian Lavin, 30 and a lawyer The Date January 16 With the venue in place, a Floridian beach theme made sense, and greens, oranges and starfish were added to the day’s decor.

The beach chic tables were set with chargers, white folded napkins and dried starfish, which guests took home as wedding favors.
Ashley and Brian danced to their band's version of You Send Me, by Sam Cooke. Later, Ashley's mom joined the band to sing the blues.
Their altar was made out of bamboo and seashells. Starfish and strands of fresh flowers finished the look.
Dinner was served under a clear tent. Although the skies were cloudy, green lanterns and linens helped brighten up the space.
Two sets of chairs lined either side of the aisle. Clusters of orchids and orange ribbon decorated the seats on the end.
The 11 bridesmaids carried bundles of cymbidium orchids, which popped against their navy dresses.
Although Ashley and Brian live in New York City, they opted to get married in Ashley’s hometown at her family’s beach club. “We figured our Northern guests would appreciate a Florida wedding in January,” she says.
Ashley wore a long white dress to the ceremony and then later changed into this short white wedding dress.
Green and white hydrangea centerpieces added a fresh element to the tables.
Oversize tote bags were given to the out-of-towners staying at the hotel. Inside was Advil, maps, bottles of water and granola bars.
Since they were getting married on the beach and it was a little windy that day, Ashley opted to pull her hair back into a bun. Her stylist added a row of stephanotis flowers for a wedding-worthy touch.
In keeping with the color scheme, Ashley carried a bridal bouquet of orchids and green hydrangeas.
