A Wine-Themed Wedding at Historic Mankin Mansion in Richmond, Virginia

Jaymie Marocco (25 and in marketing and communications) and Anthony Marocco (32 and in marketing and business development) bonded over their love of wine, so it was only fitting that their wedding fully embraced that shared passion. They started with a wine-inspired palette that included shades of burgundy, purple, blush and ivory. The tented reception at Historic Mankin Mansion in Richmond, Virginia, was illuminated with purple uplighting in addition to string lights and gold chandeliers to highlight the wedding's jewel tones. Jaymie and Anthony used wine red and ivory for their elegant invitation suite, which featured wine-bottle and wineglass motifs. The bridal party's bouquets also incorporated the color palette, with royal purple orchids, blush and ivory roses and silver brunia accents. The bridesmaids wore in "spiced wine" dresses and the groomsmen complemented their looks by wearing purple paisley ties and wine-cork boutonnieres with their gray suits. Centerpieces at the reception also featured flowers in purple and ivory, with grape accents for a vineyard twist. These arrangements were displayed in wine boxes labeled "Marocco Vineyards" after the couple's last name. Jaymie and Anthony also used wine-cork details to add a rustic, wine-themed touch to their wedding. Jaymie wore cork bow heels and carried a matching cork clutch with her lace fit-and-flare wedding dress. The New Apostolic Church of Richmond, Virginia, was decorated with wreaths made out of wine corks for the ceremony, and the wedding programs featured a cork border. Jaymie and Anthony invited their guests to sign a wine barrel instead of a traditional guest book, and they also displayed with ivory wedding cake with purple accents on a wine-barrel stand.
