A White, Red and Black Romantic Wedding at Wisteria Gardens in Elk Grove, California

Devin Kearns (23 and a co-owner of POP Event Rentals & Design) and Chris Hessing (23 and an auditor for golf courses in Sacramento, California) met at the beginning of their senior year in high school. Chris officially asked Devin out a few weeks later, and their relationship continued to grow over the years. The two lived together as they attended college, and Chris proposed to Devin two years later when they took a trip to the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Devin and Chris booked the Wisteria Gardens in Elk Grove, California, because its elegant estate and lush landscaping were ideal for the couple's romantic wedding decorated in reds, whites and black. Since Wisteria Gardens had plenty of natural decor, the couple says few flowers were needed throughout the day. Ceremony programs doubled as door hanger wedding favors, and cookies and milk were later given out as a “midnight snack.” Devin and Chris say one of their favorite details was the piece of furniture guests wrote messages for the couple on; they were able to bring it home and furnish their living room with the sweet messages from loved ones.
