A White and Gold Wedding at Loews Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida

From the firefighter hat entrance to the starfish-accented aisle decor, Jamie Mastry (31 and an audiologist) and Mark Henderson’s (33 and a firefighter) fun white and gold wedding mixed their love of the beach with a few nods to Mark’s profession. Limelight Photography captured every moment as Mark's father officiated the couple's intimate courtyard ceremony. The day ended with an indoor reception on the North Terrace of Loews Don CeSar Hotel. “We chose the venue because we love the beach and actually live right down the street,” Jamie says. “It was a natural choice for our celebration.” Seashell and ocean-inspired accents were used throughout their decor. Tea-light candles lined the ceremony aisle in starfish holders as gold ropes hung from rows of white chairs with similar accents. Even the couple’s gold escort cards were in the shape of seashells. Seahorses and tropical fish were also brought into the reception through whimsical neutral and gold table numbers on exposed-wood stands. Another notable detail was Jamie and Mark's groom’s cake. Inspired by a fire truck from the Largo Fire Department, their red confection was shaped like the vehicle and placed on a bed of gold "sand." The couple also took things a step further and cut their simple three-tier white wedding cake with a decorative axe. For future couples, Jamie shares a tip: “Just sit back and enjoy the magical ride. Things may not go as planned, but they always manage to fall perfectly into place.”
