A Whimsical Wedding at University of West Florida Conference Center in Pensacola, Florida

Lexie Quinn (22) and Brandon Sellers's (21) wedding could've come straight out of a storybook! Between the antique guest book, unity lock tradition at their ceremony and lush florals arranged by a friend, this whimsical celebration felt like stepping into 'The Secret Garden.' Instead of bouquets, Lexie’s bridesmaids made their way into the traditional ceremony carrying DIY vintage-style black lanterns topped with pink roses, pink and purple hydrangeas and white chrysanthemums. A natural wedding arch covered in ivy, greenery, dahlias, peonies and hydrangeas stood at the head of the aisle, and its purple, pink and white hues complemented the couple's wedding colors. After the two said “I do,” Lexie, Brandon and the wedding party went to a local jungle gym to relive a few childhood moments with their photographer, Hcophotos. (Their seven flower girls even took a few spins on the roundabout!) Meanwhile, guests traveled to the University of West Florida Conference Center, where a wishing-tree guest book was draped in notes from friends and family and antique posters accented the wall. “I study poetry in school and it's an incredibly important part of my life,” Lexie says. “We took four beautiful poems about love, printed them out to look like scrolls and suspended them on the back wall above the wedding party’s table.” All of the decor was tied together by the couple’s wedding cake, baked by For the Love of Cake. Moss and pink roses covered its natural wooden stand, and the four-tier gold confection was accented with whimsical fondant leaves. Lexie shares a tip: “When there's a ring on your finger, everybody will give you tons of unsolicited advice and will tell you exactly what you should do and how you should do it. Listen to them, thank them, and then do it your own way!"
