A Whimsical Wedding at a Private Residence in Fort Myers, Florida

With multicolored aisle decor and towering homemade desserts, Ashley Nagle (30 and an accounting clerk) and Ryan Williams’s (32 and a network engineer) wedding had just the right amount of whimsy and personal flair. “I knew right away that I wanted a personal celebration,” Ashley says. "I quickly started searching for things that I liked on Pinterest and other sites to blend into our perfect wedding." A purple, white and pink color scheme and fun florals from Sam’s Club helped the couple achieve just that. Ashley and Ryan had a sweet ceremony at Edison and Ford Winter Estates museum lined with purple hydrangea and white peony pomanders before ending the day with a poolside reception at his parents' home. Large white, orange and purple paper lanterns were suspended from the ceiling for an eye-catching and colorful touch. The couple’s dessert table also caught attention. Ryan’s aunt, mother and sister helped to make a wedding cake that was literally split down the center. Half of the confection was accented with white icing and intricate piping, while the other half was covered with chocolate fondant and a matching chocolate drizzle. After a few bites of wedding cake and a tower of glazed doughnut holes, their 110 guests left with a fun mustache or kiss-accented pint glass wedding favor. Impressions Photography captured these details and more, below. “It truly was a wonderful evening full of love, laughter and memories to last a lifetime,” Ashley says.
