A Whimsical Wedding at Gabriel Springs Event Center in Austin, Texas
“It’s an overwhelming feeling to know someone genuinely wants to spend their life with you,” says Rebecca Price (32 and a medical sonographer) on her marriage to Josh Torres (33 and in construction project management). Ashley from A Bunch of Weddings helped the couple host their whimsical Texas wedding, which began with a ceremony at Lois Perkins Chapel in Georgetown, Texas. “I can’t describe the feeling when we walked into this gorgeous church for the first time. Josh and I both said, ‘Yep, this is where we need to make this promise to each other,” Rebecca says. Their reception followed at Gabriel Springs Event Center, where the Royal Dukes Band got the party started. “It meant a ton for us to have a live band, because Josh and I love music and love a good time,” Rebecca says. She wore a stunning wedding dress by Alvina Valenta; the bride says she’ll always remember the day she found it. "I must have had the ‘this is the one’ look,” she says, because her mother insisted they purchase the dress that day. Another special detail? Instead of a wedding cake, the couple brought in Tiny Pies from Austin, Texas, to serve miniature pie treats in a variety of flavors; the highlight was the Texas Two Step, which had brownie on bottom and pecan pie on top. “We continue to receive compliments on how delicious these pies were,” the bride says.
