A Whimsical, Vintage Wedding at a Private Residence in Bentonville, Arkansas

Lauren Henrie (23 and a boutique crafter) and Mark Henrie (31 and an artisan) met four years before they started dating. Once they were both in college, they met at a social event in their hometown, had a date and hit it off. They were engaged a year later and married six months after that. Lauren and Mark were the first couple to be sealed for eternity in the newly dedicated Kansas City, Missouri, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints temple. Since the temple was three hours from their hometown in Bentonville, Arkansas, the couple had their reception two days later at Lauren’s parent’s home. Inspired by the blooming flowers and fresh green yard, the couple had a whimsical, garden-inspired reception. They used shades of blush, gray, ivory and green for their color palette and finished the look with cool vintage finds such as birdcages, glassware and a silverware chest. They wanted their wedding to be beautiful but casual, and full of music, food and friendship. They made their own BBQ dinner and had a key lime-flavored wedding cake. At the end of the night they enjoyed a local acoustic bluegrass band.
