A Whimsical, Romantic Wedding at Rustler’s Roose in Phoenix, Arizona

July Javelosa (23 and a challenges assistant) and Kyle Grossinger (27 and a producer) met during filming of the television show “Survivor” in the Philippines: July was part of the Dream Team while Kyle was behind the scenes. For his proposal to July, Kyle planned a fake shoot on Nicaragua’s Christ of the Mercy and had July climb up without knowing a thing. A mariachi band was perched at the top, along with cameras, friends, champagne, a beautiful ring and a helicopter to film the entire event. The couple decided to have their wedding at Rustler’s Roose in Phoenix, Arizona, with a view of the city at sunset. They chose a lilac, lavender and pink for a romantic color palette. “The exchanging of vows was the most important and heartfelt moment of that day,” says July. “Everyone felt the love between us and we were really happy to let our guests be part of that.” The reception switched gears into a more laid-back, whimsical atmosphere, as the couple and their guests enjoyed dinner and dancing to songs for all ages. July offers her advice to future couples: “Have fun and cherish the moment. In the end, everything will be perfect as long as you have each other.”
