Brooke Linsley (27 and an elementary school teacher) and Matthew Mowery (29 and a high school math teacher) met in college, but didn't start dating until after graduation. To pop the question, Matthew enlisted the help of the couple's chocolate labradoodle, Roscoe. He attached a handwritten note to Roscoe's collar, written as if Roscoe had written it himself, asking Brooke to marry his dad. "We're the type of people who are obsessed with their dog," says Brooke. "So it was a totally appropriate proposal for us." When Brooke opened the car, Matt got down on one knee and presented her with a round brilliant cut engagement ring. She of course said yes. For their wedding, the couple planned a whimsical contemporary affair. They started off the day with a traditional church ceremony at Salem First Christian Church in Matthew's home town. For the reception, the couple chose a bright palette of pastels, "earthy rainbow" as Brooke called it, to create a playful, yet sophisticated aesthetic. "I was inspired by my parent's wedding," explains Brooke. "They had a rainbow wedding as well and I always loved the look of it, minus the puffy dresses and big floppy hats that is!" To pull the theme off, the couple went classic with their flower choices, choosing timeless blooms like roses, hydrangeas and lisianthuses to fill their bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces in pale shades of purple, pink, yellow and blue. Brooke decked out her bridesmaids in long, chiffon gowns in a spectrum of colors to create a unique rainbow effect that tied in seamlessly with the day's decor. Other touches like hanging airy, sheer fabric from the reception space's ceiling, lots of candlelight and miniature suspended lanterns added a whimsical feel to the day.

Brooke opted for classic elegance when it came to choosing her wedding day look. A lace mermaid gown by Allure offered a flattering feminine silhouette and fit the look she was going for.
A pair of champagne colored heels with rhinestone studded straps added just a hint of glamour to Brooke's wedding day look. The low heels gave her a subtle boost without compromising on comfort.
Brooke's bridal bouquet was filled with classic blooms like roses, hydrangeas and lisianthuses in an array of pastel hues including pink, purple, yellow and blue.
To tie into the wedding's "earthy rainbow" theme, Brooke's bridesmaids donned long, strapless, chiffon dresses in a spectrum of pastel hues that created a rainbow effect when they stood side by side.
Because of the bright colors of their dresses, Brooke opted to have her bridesmaids carry bouquets in a soft ivory shade.
The couple tied the knot in a traditional Christian ceremony at Salem First Christian Church, the church in Matthew's hometown that he had grown up attending.

To add a touch of whimsy to the reception decor, the couple hung panels of airy, sheer fabric and silver Morroccan style lanterns filled with votive candles along the ceiling of the room.
