A Whimsical Outdoor Wedding at Farm Haven in Union, Kentucky

Ashley Hateridge (27 and a high school English teacher) started dating Josh Chal (28 and an ELS college counselor) after they first met at a party. When Josh surprised Ashley with an intimate proposal, she though she knew exactly the type of wedding that she wanted—indoors with a vintage lace dress. A year later, the couple ended up hosting the exact opposite of Ashley's vision and invited guests to an outdoor celebration at Farm Haven where she shinned in a whimsical tulle ball gown. ?"I am not an outdoorsy girl, but for some reason I wanted to get married outside," says Ashley. "I realized that lush forest venues didn't exist near me so I decided on a barn wedding instead," says Ashley. "I looked at three local barns and knew right away that Farm Haven was the perfect place!" The wildflower and baby's breath bouquets popped against the bridesmaids' blue dresses and the rustic burlap accents warmed Ashley's minimalist aesthetic. ?Vintage fabric bunting lent a personal air and guests received DIY Mason jars decorated by the bride.
