A Whimsical, Natural Wedding at Chandelier Grove in Tomball, Texas
Navy, green, gray and white tied together the natural and refined vibe of Sarah Snelling (24 and a management consultant) and Matthew (Matty) Kerns’s (24 and a financial analyst) indoor-outdoor wedding.
The ceremony took place outside in a pecan orchard, paying homage to the couple’s Texas roots. The reception was held in a charming, rustic Amish barn on the same property. The couple placed two wine barrels on either side of the beginning of the aisle. “We sat the barrels vertically and put large floral arrangements on top,” Sarah says. “I loved the look of the dark, rustic wood with soft, white flowers.”
Sarah wore her grandmother’s wedding dress, with a fitted bodice and a lace overlay for the ceremony. The bridesmaids complemented the bride in knee-length navy lace dresses. For the reception, Sarah changed into a sleeveless sweetheart gown with pretty appliques on the skirt for the reception.
Sarah and Matty decided against assigned seating, and even assigned tables, at the reception. The guests gave the couple a jubilant sparkler send-off at the end of the night.
