Although Sun Valley Resort is most popular during ski season, Sarah Vallimarescu and Ben Tsujiura took advantage of its natural summertime beauty for their destination wedding. A wildflower motif began with a whimsical, brightly colored invitation suite, and it continued with a custom monogram and painted wedding cake. “The contrast of this natural element with touches of formality, like tuxedos and long dresses, made for a weekend that was a true reflection of our tastes,” the bride says. Sarah and Ben’s ceremony took place at a lookout point on Bald Mountain. The resort built a wood platform for the aisle, which was lined with benches and flowers. Guests moved inside a high-ceilinged tent for the reception, and tall greenery arrangements gave the space a rustic garden theme. Vintage-inspired floral tablecloths broke up the neutral color palette—as did the rustic centerpieces of pink, blush and rose blooms.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: “The most personalized element of the wedding was our choice to write and deliver our own vows. This was such a touching moment that we will both remember for the rest of our lives,” Sarah says.
