A Whimsical, Modern Vineyard Wedding at Mahogany Mountain Vineyard in Ramona, California

Anna Nguyen and Geoffrey Hargett put a cool, modern twist on their elegant vineyard wedding with watercolor details and punchy shades of turquoise and blue.

The alfresco affair was held at Geoffrey’s family vineyard, its rolling hills and lush grapevines offering a picturesque backdrop for the festivities. Many of the design elements borrowed from the setting’s organic feel, from the rustic farm tables to the wood four-post wedding arch draped in vines and eye-catching purple florals. Even the custom doughnut display embodied the vineyard’s natural vibe.

The event’s bold color palette came into play for the reception. The planning pros at A Good Affair brought the couple’s vision to life with velvet linens, lounge furniture, acrylic signage with whimsical white calligraphy and watercolor table numbers. Festive ribbons, colorful vintage glassware and bountiful bouquets of ombré purple florals upped the tablescapes’ visual drama. As an extra-special touch, mini cakes were placed at each seat, providing guests with a tasty treat to kick off the evening.

“Seeing all of our friends and family was definitely one of the best things about our wedding day,” Anna says. “I really wanted a smaller wedding, but when we sat down with our families, we realized there were so many people we wanted to share our special day with. We ultimately realized that we wanted our wedding day to be about celebrating with those nearest and dearest to us, even if that ended up being 200 people.”
