A Whimsical Dr. Who Themed Wedding at Sunny Meade in Scott, Louisiana

Cara, 37, and Stewart, 27, had a wedding inspired by the first television show they watched together, Dr. Who. This theme spanned from "the idea that if we searched through all of space and time, we wouldn't find someone more perfect for us," says Cara. They were married in Sunny Meade's gazebo in Scott, Louisiana, and held their reception in the venue's atrium. Together, Cara and Stewart made a wedding that reflected their relationship. Cara gave Stewart Tardis cufflinks, a major element within Dr. Who, on their anniversary and he gave Cara a Tardis inspired blue sapphire engagement ring. "Tardis blue" became their wedding color. The couple complemented it with white and other shades of blue. Cara and Stewart also worked with a friend, who would be there officiant, to compose a unique ceremony service. "The ceremony was beautiful, funny, heartfelt and non traditional. Just like us!" says Cara. After dinner, their guests enjoyed a DJ, ginger ale from Kentucky, a photo booth filled with props from various television shows and movies, as well as a Tardis and R2D2 shaped cake. As wedding favors, guests were given the option of taking home potted succulents, crystal hearts or a bag of blue and white treats from the couple's candy bar.
