A Whimsical DIY Wedding at the Little New Orleans Kitchen & Oyster Bar in Orlando, Florida

Tiffany Robinson (23 and in the U.S. Air Force) and Michael Robinson (28 and in the U.S Air Force) met over a course of two days by Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The couple first saw each other in the Base’s community center while Tiffany was playing a video game. Michael started the conversation by saying “Hey I know this game... Wow you suck,” says Tiffany. She challenged him to play, leading the rest of the night to be filled with video games and movies. The next night, Michael drove two hours in the snow and ice to save Tiffany from a bad night out. They have been together ever since. Tiffany and Michael’s wedding was inspired by their hot air balloon engagement. Both had volunteered to help set up the Prisoner of War and Missing in Action balloon at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in 2013. While Michael planned to propose in the balloon, it was too windy to fly. Instead, Tiffany found the emerald engagement ring rolling on the floor in their favorite restaurant! “He decided it must be fate, goes out to the car, grabs his guitar, catches everyone's attention and begins to play my favorite song, which he wrote for me,” says Tiffany. The couple planned their wedding over the course of 13 months while Michael was deployed in Afghanistan. They left their ceremony in a blue and orange hot air balloon. “After being separated by thousands of miles due to deployment and then moving, our reunion as a result of us pushing through the hardship was amplified by our lifted basket,” says Tiffany. Their peacock themed wedding was held in the morning and followed by a more than ten hour celebration. It ended with the couple and their guests at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, for an after party.
