A Whimsical, Casual Wedding at Cabrillo Beach Bath House in San Pedro, California

Getting married near the water was a must for Melinda Riggs (29 and an interior designer) and Michael Toka (26 and a chiropractor) -- one reason Cabrillo Beach Bath House in San Pedro, California, was the perfect venue to hold their casual, whimsical wedding. The couple demonstrated their individual personalities through their choice of color palette; the yellows reflected Melinda, while the blues represented Michael. Bottles and candles hung from tree branches that hovered over the area where the couple said their vows. The indoor reception followed, which conveyed a playful ambience through the colorful paper lanterns and bistro lights that hung from the ceiling, along with the burlap table runners underneath DIY flower box centerpieces filled with succulents, arranged by Petals and Pop Shop and photographed by Jenna Norman Photography. After the rice, beans and enchilada dinner from the taco bar, a delicious array of desserts was served. “We had a dessert table that offered both regular and gluten-free options made by my wife’s sister,” Michael says. “Our table featured brownies, chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, plum crumble and pumpkin pie with whipped cream."
