A Whimsical, Bohemian Wedding at Home in Brenham, Texas

Lindsey Caldwell and Michael McConathy wed on a  sunny November day at the bride's family’s ranch in Brenham, Texas. About 300 guests attended the whimsical outdoor celebration, which was inspired by Palm Springs, Southern hospitality a bright pink color palette. The couple took plenty of creative liberties for the big day. For example, family wedding portraits on canvas adorned a hallway, a watercolor wedding monogram showed up throughout the wedding and overnight guests received welcome bags full of local goodies. The ceremony, which was officiated by Lindsey's dad, took place overlooking a private lake and one of the oldest oak trees in Texas. The couple stood underneath a wedding arch filled with ranunculus, peonies, garden roses and painted palm leaves in pink tones. "The aisle was from the top of the hill down to the lake on our curvy path, and the florists continued the curve for the aisle with gorgeous flowers. It’s a simple touch, but I just loved the free spirit of the non-straight aisle," Lindsey says. Guests launched confetti from tubes before the couple recessed up the aisle, and then they attended cocktail hour in the backyard. A teal 60-foot Ferris wheel loomed in the background and matched the wedding's color palette—and so did the lounge area with pink couches and gold poofs.  Pink seating charts with gold calligraphy showed guests their seats for dinner, which was held in a barn with rustic farm tables, colorful flower centerpieces and candles.  Lindsey stunned in a ball gown with a soft floral pattern and gold metallic beading. She also wore a wavy hairstyle and carried a whimsical pink bouquet. The groom sported a classic black tuxedo.
