A Wedding at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray, Florida

Renee, 26, and Nick, 25, chose a venue that both inspired the decor and hinted at their almost life-long connection. The couple had known each other since kindergarten and their families had also known each other for years. They began dating while in college together at Georgetown University. When it came time to look at locations for their wedding, Renee and Nick chose somewhere both their parents and they had enjoyed: the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida. Using the gardens as inspiration, the couple had a wedding focused on more than a color or two. They used ivory, purple, gold, pink and green to ensure that their wedding was "glamorous, romantic and a bit whimsical," says Renee. Lush arrangements of hydrangeas, Japanese blossoms, lilies of the valley and roses in shades of white, purple and pink were placed throughout the ceremony and reception. The couple also featured a few traditional Jewish elements in their wedding including a Chuppah, Renee circling her groom at the ceremony and a Hora dance at the reception. With lavender tied to their place cards, Renee and Nick's 150 guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner, four-tier wedding cake featuring cascading flower petals, a homemade candy bar and a favor box with flowering tea.
