A Waterfront Fall Wedding at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in Charleston, South Carolina
Heather Ramsay (29 and works in sales) and Hillary Kotlarz (34 and works in sales) met each other through work. "My teammates let me know that a woman they thought I would be interested in had just started and would be working on the same floor. I would see her every day through the glass wall and was determined to meet her," says Heather. "She would say that I would IM her every day trying to get her to talk and distract her. That said, it must have worked because after a few weeks of IMing, we became friends and started spending time together." The two continued to become closer and Hillary finally asked Heather out on the date. A few years later, the couple decided to pack up and move to sunny Charleston, SC. On a weekend getaway to Georgia, Hillary popped the question. For their wedding, the couple chose to keep things local and planned a waterfront affair at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in their new home of Charleston, SC. Inspired by both the setting and the fall season, the couple incorporated beachy touches, like DIY starfish escort cards and S'mores wedding favors for the after party bonfire, into the day and chose an autumnal color palette of orange, yellow and white. The ceremony took place on the Resort's pier overlooking the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and was followed by an outdoor tented reception with bright orange and yellow blooms, rustic vine centerpieces and fun touches like wooden paddles for guests to sign instead of a traditional guest book.
