A Waterfront Elopement at Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland

Caitlin Herman (22 and a nanny) and Michael Oursler (25 and in processing) met at a New Year’s Eve party in college and had an instant connection. Three years later, Michael proposed in the couple’s home with a ring on top of Caitlin’s favorite dessert—a chocolate chip cookie. The couple chose to have a wedding for two in St. Michaels, Maryland at the Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond. “We knew we wanted a venue on the water, and when we first visited the charming Inn at Perry Cabin, it was the perfect fit,” says Caitlin. After they exchanged vows, the bride and groom hopped into a boat for a quick spin to enjoy their first moments as newlyweds. Later, Caitlin and Michael enjoyed a five-course meal with wine pairings at the Stars Restaurant at the Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond and shared their first dance in the garden. “I loved how relaxed and stress-free the day was. It gave us the opportunity to focus on each other and what the day was truly supposed to be about.”
