A Waterfront Ceremony Preceded This Couple's Greenhouse Reception on the California Coast

For their wedding along the coast of California, Emily Ho and Calvin Cheng, "wanted to create a night that felt romantic, dreamy, organic, lighthearted and true to our personalities." The couple's coral-centric wedding at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm in Goleta, California, did just that. "Our colors highlighted yet contrasted the California coast that we love so much which was also why we chose this ocean side venue. We went bold with all things terra cotta, blush, coral, champagne with a hint of blue. We wanted to complement the beautiful ocean view while making our guests feel warm and cozy," they share.
The California celebration began with Emily and Calvin's vow exchange overlooking the Pacific coast. Low floral arrangements ensured the sweeping ocean views were on full display at the ceremony. "We decided not to do an arch so that our guests could get the full view of the ocean. The florals were a perfect mixture of wispy petals and rougher pampas textures. I like how organic and dreamy it turned out!" Next up, at cocktail hour the ocean was still front-of-mind. "We had hand rolls and oysters for our cocktail hour, because how could we not have some seafood with that amazing view?"
For the reception, guests decamped to the venue's iconic glass-enclosed greenhouse for dinner under a canopy of string lights. Beyond stunning salmon-hued linens and art deco-inspired signage, the couple packed the greenhouse reception with personalized details. "We also had a churros station, a photobooth, a hot cheetos station, and a pie station with our favorite pies from the Pie Hole. We both love pie over cake so we opted out of cake entirely and did a pie cutting in honor of 3/14, our wedding date." At the end of the day, Emily and Calvin remind two-be-weds that, "The day should capture both your personalities and relationship," and that's exactly what their Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm celebration did.
