A Waterfront Ballroom Wedding at Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland
For Meghan Maguire (29 and a graduate student) and Adam Thon (28 and an electrical engineer) it was important to take advantage of Baltimore's Inner Harbor as the backdrop to their summer wedding. They chose to celebrate at the ballroom at Renaissance Harborplace Hotel because of its amazing views, which were perfectly captured by Photography by Brea. Their beautiful waterfront wedding had a color palette of sapphire blue and emerald green. "One of the first things we did when planning our wedding was to have a custom monogram made by The Inked Leaf," Meghan says. "My goal was to put it on everything possible." This monogram was featured on their traditional invitation suite, on the boxes for their wedding favors and as a topper for their wedding cake. Floral design was also important to Meghan and Adam, so they had Ann's Garden create pretty bouquets of anemones, orchids and stephanotis and centerpieces of roses and hydrangeas. Meghan says the most reassuring thing she learned while planning her wedding was that nothing is truly timeless. "There are always pieces of the wedding that you can look back on and say it was a product of that era, and that's okay. Do what you want, so when you look back and see something that looks dated, you will just reminisce about how wonderful it was."
