A Bright, Peach-Inspired Wedding at Muse Event Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Lawyers and New York residents Kerry Herman (28) and Sean Zaroogian (30) landed on their venue, Muse Event Center, because of its downtown proximity. “It was optimal for out-of-towners,” Kerry, a Minnesota native, says. “Plus, it had a killer dance floor.” To highlight the space’s best asset, they suspended a floral wreath chandelier overhead and booked a band that played a healthy dose of Prince and other hits. The couple’s classic yet causal style featured an orange and blue color palette. Kerry and her bridesmaids carried blush and coral bouquets of dahlias, garden roses and greenery. The bride's veil was a family heirloom, plus she wore navy pumps as her “something blue” and her mom’s pearl necklace as her “something borrowed.” Peaches, a summer favorite, were tucked into centerpieces, and guests collected one with their escort cards to take home. The couple's cake mixed three pairings: chocolate peanut butter, lemon raspberry and chocolate raspberry. An oil painter captured Kerry and Sean’s first dance and the night’s highlights, but Kerry’s favorite memory is when she and Sean stole away to the second floor. “We had the entire space to ourselves while we goofily sang along to “New York, New York,” she says.
