A Warm, Fall Wedding at Stepne Manor in Chestertown, Maryland
Colin Flyn (34 and a commercial real estate broker) proposed to Lindsay Perrini (31 and a teacher) by taking her ice skating after a dinner at the restaurant where they had their first date. He pulled her to the side of the rink, kneeled down on the ice and asked her to marry him. Afterwards, he surprised her with a group of their family and friends ready to celebrate at a nearby bar. Lindsay and Colin's wedding was equally warm and intimate as their proposal story. After exchanging their vows at St. John's Church in Rock Hall, Maryland, the couple shuttled their loved ones to their tented reception at Stepne Manor in Chestertown, Maryland. For their outdoor, fall wedding, they chose a color scheme of navy, orange and gray. The sailcloth tent was illuminated with string lights and lanterns, and dining tables were decorated with gourds, pumpkins, hypericum and thistles. As favors, Lindsay and Colin gave their guests navy pashmina scarves, which were perfect for keeping them warm in the evening chill. They also doubled as decor, draped on the white chairs. The newlyweds were so attentive to details and making sure their guests were comfortable, which is what made this wedding so heartwarming. As Lindsay says, "It's the small things that make a wedding memorable."
