A Vintage Wine Country Wedding at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma, California

Unique décor and a classic color palette brought a vintage feeling to the nuptials of Yuri Yakubov, a 29-year-old clean energy strategist, and his bride Alex Hoenig, a 27-year-old worldwide consumer. The wedding didn’t have a strict theme, instead incorporating many of the couple’s favorite things. “It was a little bit romantic, a little bit vintage, a little bit country, a little bit chic, a little bit Southern, a little bit Russian and a whole lot Californian,” Alex says. The environmentally conscious couple made every attempt to be as local and sustainable as possible when planning their big day, which took place at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma, California. From a beautiful outdoor ceremony space to a barn for dancing, the location had everything the bride and groom were looking for. A color palette of grey, navy and white helped bring their vision of nostalgia to life. “It's a great clean canvas to build upon with vintage pieces, and the natural colors of local florals,” Alex says. Although the couple’s wedding featured a great attention to detail, they never lost sight of the big picture. “Stay true to who you both are and the love that you share,” Alex says. “No detail, big or small, should matter more than your love for one another.”
