The couple met through a mutual friend while they were students at Montclair State University. The Bride Marisa Gilbert, 28 and a sales associate at Marquis Jet The Groom Adam Solan, 28 and a manager at Toast The Date June 5 Marisa and Adam wanted their day to have a dash of romance and a hint of rock and roll. They started with a gray and yellow color scheme (because it reminded them of the August rain season) and added pink and orange for a summery touch.

Dahlia's (Marisa's favorite) weren't available, but the florist came up with something she liked better: a mix of ranunculus in pretty colors with peonies and craspedia.
The couple served three small cakes to complement the home-style dinner. The custom topper was a perfect replica of the duo, right down to Marisa's tattoos.
Not from the area, the couple knew nothing about the Pearl S. Buck House. But when Marisa visited, she knew right then it was perfect for the wedding.
Simply placed in Mason jars, the bridesmaid bouquets doubled as centerpieces for the couple's head table at the reception.
Adam wore a few playful items to convey his personality, such as a bright yellow boutonniere.
A cute wooden sign informed guests of two signature drinks on hand: fresh mint mojitos and vodka-spiked lemonade.
Tea-dyed tags (weighed down with skeleton keys) hung from a board that Adam's stepbrother built.
Peonies were more prominent in the bridesmaid bouquets, which were smaller versions of Marisa's.
A string of lights along the tent's frame gave off an amber glow while the transparent top offered a view of the starry night sky.
