The Bride Meggy Wang, 27 and is a writer The Groom Christopher Fleitas, 29 and is a teacher The Date July 18 The setting (the Kohl Mansion’s library) set the tone for the couple’s vintage, book-centric theme. They also fell for the brightness of an aqua/poppy color combo.

Meggy's four bridesmaids wore '40s-style halter dresses to match Meggy's Old Hollywood gown. The best part: They cost $40.
The bridesmaids’ poppy red bouquets looked great against their aqua blue dresses.
The Kohl Mansion’s library reminded Meggy and Chris of the one at Yale, where they met, so it was the perfect place for the ceremony. The wood paneling and bay windows needed little decor, so they just added a few flowers.
Vintage hardcover books from thrift stores served as a base for the petite red flower arrangements.
Further encouraging guests to mingle, the couple served bite-size cupcakes.
Special members of the family wore red-orange craspedia boutonnieres to match the groomsmen.

The girls carried poppy red wildflower-style bouquets of dahlias, tulips, scabiosa, raspberries, kalanchoe and chocolate cosmos.
Vintage trinkets like old clocks and scrabble tiles were scattered around to complement the theme.
