A Vintage Wedding at the Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida
Lizzette (Leiza) Perez (27, a doctoral resident) and Timothy (Tim) James Nolt (28, a server) met at Trinity Grace Church’s Christmas party during the last few days of her internship in New York City. “I think we just knew something was different right from the start,” says Leiza. The couple continued to date long distance after Leiza went home to Orlando, Florida. About two years later, Tim proposed with a princess cut diamond ring under a Christmas tree in Bryant Park. “It shined brighter than all the Christmas tree lights and I absolutely loved it,” says Leiza. They were wed ten months later on Tim’s grandparents’ sixty-second anniversary at Ocoee Christian Church in Ocoee, Florida. The couple had a traditional Christian ceremony where they fed each other communion and washed each other’s feet as a symbol of their servanthood,” says Leiza. Afterward, the couple and their 180 guests went to the Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden, Florida, for a vintage and DIY accented reception. Leiza and Tim’s friends and family members found their seat listed on a vintage table decorated with key accents and candles. Each ivory linen covered table was set with gold chargers, candles, lanterns as well as burlap and lace wrapped mason jar floral centerpieces. The arrangements included with peonies, hydrangeas, stargazer lilies, chrysanthemums and lavender. Leiza and Tim served a seated meal as well as numerous desserts. Each guest left with a DIY lovebird accented mason jar that he or she could fill with candy.
