Amber and Shannon knew they wanted a relaxed, vintage-inspired wedding. So naturally, they chose The Dream Ranch as their wedding venue for its sentimental value -- Shannon’s father had helped build it! The Bride Amber Morris, 25, photographer The Groom Shannon Wallace, 26, rail dispatcher The Date October 24 To capture a rustic look, the couple used a fun color palette of everything from brown and champagne to orange, pink, and purple. They added casual details like burlap table linens and Jones Soda wedding favors to pull it all together.

The dessert table received a seasonal kick from peanut-covered caramel apples.
Graphic cocktail napkins stamped with the couple’s monogram added pops of color to the reception tables.
Hand-carved pumpkins reading “Mr. and Mrs.,” “I Do,” and “W” for the couple’s monogram decorated the reception space. Amber and Shannon also arranged peanut brittle around the pumpkins to add to the seasonal look.
The couple tied bright pashminas around each reception chair. The eye-catching decor also doubled as favors -- Amber handwrote notes to let guests know the wraps were complimentary.
Bright bottles of Jones Orange Creme Soda and Jones Root Beer added color to the reception tables. The bride and groom customized the labels with their engagement photos.
Guests dined on tomato soup shooters paired with mini grilled cheese sandwiches. The food was arranged on burlap-covered tables and labeled with rustic wooden signs.
Amber and Shannon said their vows atop one of the six boulders on the back lawn of The Dream Ranch overlooking Lake Guntersville. The boulders were covered with quilts made by the bride’s and groom’s grandmothers and great-grandmothers.
Wedges of iceberg lettuce and rustic wooden wedding signs fit perfectly into the couple’s laid-back wedding vibe.
The romantic wedding invitations were printed by a designer Amber found on Etsy.com. The invites were simply tied with a hot pink satin ribbon.
The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with twigs and berries and displayed on a custom-made cake stand, which had been carved by a family friend. Amber bought the rustic cake topper online.
The bridesmaids’ colorful arrangements of flowers and berries popped against their vivid dresses. Amber let each maid pick her own style of dress in alternating colors of sangria, watermelon, and champagne.
