Jared Utah and Kylene Blackburn met junior year when they lived across the hall from each other at Penn State. They fell in love, and 7 years later, Jared flew from his home in Cincinnati, Ohio to visit Kylene in Philadelphia to surprise her with a proposal. From the several Alumni friends who attended their wedding to the “We Are” Penn State cake topper, the couple's wedding at Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania incorporated details of the school that brought them together.

Kylene's round cut diamond engagement ring was placed on top of her glittering shoulder bag.
Kylene held a one-of-a-kind bouquet made of beads, brooches and gems from her mother's jewelry collection, with some new pieces mixed in.

Kylene wore a simple veil that grazed over her open back wedding dress.
The bride wore a lace, vintage-inspired gown designed by Marisa Bridal, which Kylene thought blended with the antique style of the venue.
The couple married on the estate grounds, where rows of chairs lined the aisle with hanging cream floral pomander balls.
Kylene and Jared made their vows to one another at the outdoors ceremony on a beautiful sunny day.
Kylene and Jared held hands after saying “I do.” as they faced seated guests.
Jared and Kylene embraced each other as they kissed underneath a large tree.
Kylene posed with her bridal party, who were all dressed in blush cocktail dresses designed by Sue Wong.
The groom and his groomsmen wore blush bow ties, plaid suspenders and grey suites for the wedding day.
Escort cards were displayed on a pink tablecloth for guests to find their seats. Cream and blush petals were spread around the table, along with pastel flower assortments at the back of the table.
The guest book was made up of hundreds of folded origami pieces attendees could write a message on for the newlyweds.
At the Cairnwood Estate, a charming staircase was decorated with cream floral arrangements going up the banister.
The Cairnwood Estate dining room was decked out in Maggpie Vintage Rentals antique furnishings, such as candles and mercury glass pieces,  with a blush backdrop.
Valley Green Flowers & Gifts arranged blush roses and tulips mixed with cream queen anne's lace, hydrangeas and stock.
A vintage lounge was built in the Cairnwood Estate's side garden for the cocktail hour, furnished with wooden benches and tables by Maggpie Vintage Rentals and floral arrangements by Valleygreen Flowers & Gifts.
The “La Rosette” drink was served at cocktail hour, made with rose of malbec, St-Germain Elderflower and soda water.
An assortment of meats, cheeses and fruits were served inside the estate during the cocktail hour.
At the sweetheart table, customized signs hung from the bride and groom chairs that read: “I'm her Mr.” and “I'm his Mrs.”
The table was delicately set for dinner and decorated with blush and cream floral centerpieces of hydrangeas, roses, stock and tulips.
The bride and groom sat at their table during the reception, arms intertwined with smiles.
Once dinner was done, a bar opened on the outside terrace of the venue that served an assortment of bourbon.
An ivory cake made by Ciao Bella Cakes was placed above a variety of cupcakes. The “We Are” cake topper represented Penn State, where the couple met.
