Becca is a violinist and Issac’s mother is the principal flautist in the orchestra that accompanies the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. When Issac decided to volunteer on the stage crew to support his mom, he was assigned to help Becca (who is in a wheelchair) on and off the stage. Issac and Becca soon became good friends. But when Issac got a job with the orchestra and could no longer volunteer, Becca became dismayed. Fortunately they caught up again at Becca’s sister’s wedding, and Issac asked Becca out on their first date a week later. The night they received the ring in the mail from the jeweler’s, Issac took Becca to a vintage movie theater. When they arrived, Becca was surprised to see a movie quote on the theater’s marquee from one of her favorite movies, The Princess Bride, that read: “Mawiage is what bwings us togever today, Becca will you mawwy me?” Their summer ceremony took place in a church in Becca’s hometown, and they decorated their ‘40s-themed reception with an apple green, gray, and raspberry color scheme.
