A Vintage Mountainside Wedding at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe, California
Robert Filipas (31 and a teacher) and Aimee Long (30 and a commercial real estate agent) met through mutual friends in college. It only took one date before they were hooked and eventually found themselves amidst a proposal in a meadow overlooking Lake Tahoe. The couple felt a special connection to the area after having taken several trips there so it was only fitting the mountainside meadow be the location of their wedding. The Lake Tahoe Golf Course was the ideal outdoor setting with wide stretching mountain views and an on-site tent for potential unexpected weather. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe Landscape, Robery and Aimme went with a soft color palette of charcoal grey and light green laced with a pale peach. Their reception centerpieces carried a rustic vibe with wooden crates that contained either silver candlesticks or mercury glass votives surrounded by dahlias, roses, and various succulents and fruit. Robert is a huge fan of baseball so the couple made sure to incorporate the theme into all of their decor. Old-time baseball team flags marked each table and snacks of shelled peanuts and cracker jacks were given out to guests. As a special surprise, Aimee gave Robert a cigar roller which he wasted no time it getting to use. Most of his results went out to guests as well!
