A Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Fairlane Station in Springdale, Arkansas

Everything in Kimberly McElroy (23 and a child care technician) and Keith McElroy's (24 and works at a help desk) wedding—from the handmade wedding arch to the lace doily centerpieces—was made by Kimberly's father or borrowed from family friends. Using the vintage tableware that Kimberly's parents used at their own wedding 39 years ago, for example, created a personalized, intimate feel we love. Heidi Crise Events worked with Kimberly and Keith to pair the vintage-inspired details with a little rustic flair, such as distressed wood and mason jars, that perfectly fit the shabby-chic venue. "My mom introduced us to Fairlane Station in Springdale, Arkansas, thinking it would be a great location for the two of us," Kimberly says. "After going to one of their open houses, we knew it was the place for us. It was simple, rustic and perfectly charming." One of our favorite details, though, was the amazing florals from Althea at Rose of Sharon, Event Florist. Kimberly told her she wanted her bouquet to look like it was just picked from a field, simple but beautiful, and Althea worked her magic. She paired king proteas with garden roses and thistles that not only went with the soft palette but also added plenty of texture.
