A Vintage-French-Inspired Wedding at The Loom at Cotton Mill Place in Simpsonville, South Carolina

Ellyn Finney (22 and a nurse) and Alan Marionneaux (21 and a bioengineering graduate student) met at church and both ended up going to Clemson University. Though Ellyn was hesitant at first, the pair began dating and it wasn't long before Alan enlisted her family to help with a proposal. "To my knowledge, our family was taking a trip to Asheville, NC for the weekend and they invited Alan to come as well," says Ellyn. "While my family shopped at the Inn, Alan took me out on the veranda overlooking the North Carolina Mountains and presented me with a beautiful diamond!" Ellyn fell in love with French culture while studying abroad and shared her favorite wines and cuisine with Alan throughout their time dating—plus, Alan's last name is Marionneaux so a French theme felt inevitable! The Loom at Cotton Mill, with it's beautiful hard woods floors, long wooden posts and open concept and old mill history, was the perfect space for their vintage Persian affair. The romantic French vintage feel was carried through the stationery and blush flowers to the vintage linens used for the bridesmaid dresses and tables. Guests were treated to an array of French delicacies including a statement cheese and charcuterie table. "The beer garden table was made of vintage European wood and was the centerpiece for dinner," Ellyn says. "There were all sorts of domestic and imported cheeses, grilled French bread, charcuterie with sauce, jam, figs, olives and fruits and the table was fabulously decorated with vintage props."
