A Vintage, Floral Wedding at the Uptown Center in Michigan City, Indiana
Rob Collier (25 and an aquatic facility manager) and Sarah Robinson (24 and an interior designer and historic preservationist) met at a college Halloween party and went on their first date the very next day. After sharing a bottle of wine and over five hours of conversation, their relationship blossomed. After a long car ride to go visit Rob at school, Sarah immediately fell asleep on his couch after arriving. It wasn't long before Rob nudged Sarah to wake up and told her to look at her hand. There Rob placed a ring and asked Sarah to marry him. The couple quickly chose the Uptown Center in Michigan City, IN as the venue for their wedding. "The restored 1867 theater was the perfect backdrop to our vintage garden inspired wedding," Sarah said. The venue was decorated with various brightly colored flower arrangements. Moss was used for the aisle runner for the ceremony while mini flower arrangements surrounded it. Their color palette consisting of coral, lavender, blush, ivory and green was based off of Sarah's grandparents' rose garden in England. Keeping with the floral theme, Rob and Sarah provided guests with wildflower seed packets as favors and seating escort cards! Rob and Sarah ended their magical day surrounded by the people they love with a night full of music and wine.
