An Adventure-Themed Wedding at Power Plant Productions in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Becka Bradley (31 and a museum educator) and Reggie Granados (33 and a technical director) said sayonara to their San Francisco home and headed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they had met, to share their nuptials with their closest family members and friends. Since a love of adventure brought them together—Becka road-tripped to Pennsylvania from Florida for their first date—Becka and Reggie paid tribute to travel throughout the day, incorporating elements such a vintage road signs, travel books, suitcases, cameras and maps into the decor. “These signs were all from roads that we travel on regularly and have meaning to us,” Becka says. “This way, our wedding guests were able to ‘travel’ with us to those important places.” Even the invitations embodied the wanderlust theme. Vintage Philadelphia postcards served as the save-the-dates, and the invitations featured a folded map with local landmarks for all the couple’s out-of-town guests. “She designed a ‘B&R’ logo with a pretzel ampersand. The pretzel was the perfect symbol—it was an ampersand, a heart and an important food symbol for Philadelphia,” Becka says. To highlight the city, the couple exchanged vows on the Race Street Pier under the Ben Franklin Bridge, then joined their friends and family at Power Plant Productions for a night of dinner and dancing. —Libby MacCarthy
