A Vineyard Wedding at the Williamsburg Winery in Williamsburg, Virginia

Veronica and John instantly bonded over their love for history and the Washington Redskins when they first met. It would come as no surprise that their first date was a lecture on Marquis de Lafayette, and a tour of the Yorktown battlefield. On the weekend of their three-year anniversary, the couple went to a Komi restaurant in Washington, DC.  "After several courses, we were discussing what a great three years it had been together and how much our lives had changed. That's when John pulled out a ring and said he hoped the next 40 years would be as great and asked me to marry him. Very intimate, very low key, very perfect," says Veronica.
