A Vineyard-Inspired Wedding at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina
Inspired by their gorgeous vineyard venue, Dora Quezada (26 and a US Army officer) and Lucas Irvine (27 and a US Army officer) used winery details in everything, from the stationery to the guest book to the favors. After meeting while stationed in Germany (and then being deployed to Iraq for 15 months), the couple wanted a venue that reminded them of Europe. “During our time in Germany we visited quite a few vineyards in Germany and France and just fell in love,” Dora says. “When we found Childress Vineyards, we felt like it was a tiny piece of the vineyards we remembered placed in the middle of North Carolina just for us. We thought it would be the perfect site for our wedding.” An on-site wedding coordinator, Ashley, helped the couple bring their vision to life, and Jenny Tenney Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day. One of Dora and Lucas’s favorite parts was the six kinds of red and white wines from the vineyard, as well as the wine-slushie machine that was part of their open bar. Another standout detail? Dora’s stunning A-line wedding dress from Gracie's Bridal. She loved the ruching on the bodice and full skirt, and we love the classic look for the romantic vineyard wedding.
