A Vibrant Orange-and-Navy Wedding at the Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, Georgia
For their Southern wedding, Desiree and Pedro chose a bright, vibrant aesthetic to complement their romantic garden ceremony while highlighting the cheerful nature of the day. "We both are drawn to classic looks with a modern twist in our day to day lives and wanted to carry that over into the wedding. Our base palette was classic with neutral shades of blues, grays and white. Then went with bright vibrant flowers, geometric and gold accents to bring it more modern. We didn’t have a specific theme for our wedding but more of a feeling we wanted in the air: intimate feel without being stuffy, welcoming and love in the air. Our families and friends were coming from different parts of North America and Europe and we want to make sure everyone felt welcomed, loved and part of one big family," Desiree shares.
Choosing a venue that already had a joyful atmosphere made the couple's planning more seamless. "The Brice was such a great venue that already felt warm and inviting so we were able to build off of what was already there," shares Desiree, adding that the couple wanted their flowers to include, "colors that were bright and vibrant, that would stand out against the bridal party outfits and in the venue itself." Beyond planning a colorful wedding, the duo also prioritized planning an quintessentially Southern affair. "For majority of our guest this was there first time to Savannah and to experience in that southern hospitality. We wanted to make sure everyone took advantage of all the history, charm and beauty Savannah had to offer while there, making it a mini vacation for themselves. With every trip we made, we collected a list of favorite restaurants, things to do, and must see and recommendations from our vendors and locals."
