A Vibrant Garden Wedding at a Private Villa in Marbella, Spain
Isabel Rocha and Manuel Sandino played up the beauty of summer in the south of Spain for their al fresco fete with a vibrant color palette, lush seasonal blooms and a garden reception.
The festivities kicked off with a traditional Catholic ceremony at a nearby church, followed by cocktail hour and a decadent lunch on the expansive lawn of a private estate in Marbella. A sailcloth tent covered the grounds, providing respite from the hot summer sun and adding a note of coastal elegance to the setting.
Pastel turquoise linens made especially for Isabel and Manuel graced the tables, giving way to brilliant bunches of coral peonies, purple gladiolas, pink garden roses and orange ranunculus. Antiqued dining chairs introduced an element of old-world charm to the décor, balancing out the event’s contemporary aesthetic.
“Every table had its own unique centerpiece,” Isabel says. “We wanted bright and bold flowers to showcase the incredible scenery of the villa and pair perfectly with the blue sky and sea.”
A live Dixie band set the mood, churning out upbeat tunes during cocktail hour and the reception, inspiring guests to bust a move on the dance floor. “We fell in love with this band the first time we saw them in a concert, and we knew everyone would be dancing around happily and having fun,” Isabel says. When they needed to kick up their feet, the couple’s family and friends hit up the personalized photo booth, where they could strike a pose with any number of fun-filled props.
