A Vibrant Fall Wedding at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC
Of all places, Lisa Manson (27 and an attorney) and Will Vickery (26 and a senior investigator) found inspiration for their wedding style from a piece of stationery. The card (which was actually a “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” card made by The Rifle Paper Company) with its pink, coral and blue floral motif guided all of their wedding day details. They started with invites that matched the card and used the same design for their guest book and wedding cake topper. There were bright pashminas for guests at the ceremony in the same shades of pink and coral. Then at the reception, bright flower arrangements with dahlias, anemones and garden roses popped against the navy blue tables. The reception at DAR Constitution Hall wasn’t your typical sit-down dinner. Instead, Lisa and Will chose to have a cocktail reception because they wanted to encourage their guests to mingle. "Our family and friends don't get to see each other very often, so we didn't want to force them to sit at tables for hours with only a few other people," Lisa says. The couple hired a month-of wedding planner to help with the wedding planning process. "The only reason I was able to actually relax and enjoy my wedding was because Rebecca Sparks from Rex and Regina was there to ensure that everything ran smoothly," Lisa says. All of the beautiful details of the day were perfectly captured by Sweet Tea Photography.
