A Vibrant, Classic Pink Wedding at Forest Hills Country Club in Clarkson Valley, Missouri

Vibrant pink and red details dressed up Lynn Li (26 and a lawyer) and Nathan Luo’s (26 and works in finance) elegant affair along with dozens of double happiness symbols—a nod to the couple’s Chinese heritage.

“We wanted to book a single venue for our ceremony and reception so guests could relax without having to travel from place to place,” Lynn says of exchanging vows at a local country club. The couple sealed the deal under a DIY arch while guests looked on from chairs adorned with pink pomanders. “My parents plan on displaying the arch in their backyard after the wedding,” she says.

“It’s customary for Chinese brides to wear red,” Lynn says of rocking an ivory ball gown and later, a red reception dress.

With the help of a template they found on Etsy, Lynn and Nathan added a traditional Chinese symbol to the table numbers, programs and RSVP cards. At the end of the evening, guests took home gift bags filled with candy and dessert wine.
