A Vibrant, Chic Modern Wedding at The Langham Chicago in Chicago, Illinois

Perri Miologos (30 and a market research consultant) and Marian Otil (34 and an associate director of financial aid) honored their Greek, Serbian and American heritages by blending traditions from the three cultures into a one-of-a-kind, black-tie fete.

Before they could call themselves “Mr. and Mrs.,” Perri and Marian had to tie the knot in two separate ceremonies. “We had a Catholic mass followed by a Greek Orthodox service,” Perri says of planning two weddings at two churches in just one day. A subtle pomegranate motif was woven throughout the couple’s invitation suite, since the fruit signifies happiness and prosperity in Greek culture.

Compact bouquets of calla lilies were a near-perfect match for the berry-colored bridesmaid dresses.

A single bloom crowned the modern square chocolate cake, which was filled with fresh raspberries and blueberries and covered in fondant. After guests celebrated with live Greek and Serbian music from two different bands, everyone took home edible favors in the form of candy-coated almonds, or koufeta.
