A Tropical Wedding at Red Fish Grill in Coral Gables, Florida

Everything about Adrienne DuBois (30 and a biology instructor) and Geoff Todd’s (31 and in health care) bright wedding felt like a tropical getaway, from the orange, pink, purple and green color scheme and palm tree-lined reception space to her stunning cascading bouquet. Maxime Photo and Video captured every eye-catching detail, as the couple began their wedding day with a fun beach ceremony and ended with an outdoor reception at Red Fish Grill. “Once I chose Red Fish Grill, I knew I wanted to have tropical colors and flowers,” Adrienne says. The team at Hirni's Wayside Garden Florist filled the couple’s wedding with exactly that. Lush arrangements of monstera leaves, orange birds of paradise, pink cone gingers, pink orchids and other tropical accents topped the couple’s wedding arch as well as decorated each chair along the aisle. Tables at the reception were met with plumes of similar flowers surrounded by candlelight and seashells. Another stand-out detail was the lighting design. Adrienne and Geoff accented their waterfront reception with an an unexpected display of cascading string lights around each palm tree. For other couples planning their wedding, Adrienne has this tip: “The most important thing is that you are getting married to the person you love. When things get crazy, come back to that thought. Pick a venue and a date first. Then, all of the little details will just come into place. But make sure to keep organized with a notebook and folders on your computer. There's a lot of stuff to keep track of!”
