A Travel-Themed Tropical Wedding at a Private Estate in Oahu, Hawaii

Randy Hecht and Jason Iselt wed on a private estate in Oahu, Hawaii, in a tropical celebration that was both colorful and aviation-centric. "With my spouse being a pilot, I felt it would just add something special to our day to incorporate aviation into it," Jason says. The grooms wore blue suits and purple ties, and they accessorized with green leis with white flowers. For the beachside ceremony, Randy and Jason stood beneath a chuppah topped with tropical greenery, colorful leis were draped over guests' chairs and a large white "Aloha" sign stood against the ocean. Personalized signs made by Jason's aunt, which she had shipped to Hawaii, also dotted the property. After the ceremony, guests sipped spiked smoothies out of pineapples and attended an elegant tented reception where string lights twinkled and tropical Hawaiian greenery lined tables. "Getting married on the island, I didn't want any of the typical wedding day flowers like roses. The event was just a tropical paradise," Jason says. "We also had Hawaiian dancers and a fire dancer that performed during our reception. We had kept this a secret from all of our guests, and they were totally amazed by the private show."
