A Tropical Destination Wedding at Kukahiko Estate in Makena, Maui, Hawaii

Krista and Kelvin celebrated their destination wedding with a nod to both of their heritages. "We brought in both of our cultures with a Las Arras coin exchange ceremony from Kelvin's Columbian side. By exchanging thirteen coins, you tell your partner what's mine is yours and yours mine. We then had a Celtic pebble toss in honor of my Irish roots. Each guest received a pebble at the start of the ceremony. At one point they were asked to make a wish for our future and toss it into the water. In Ireland, getting married near a body of water is great luck!" says Krista of the special day. The fun day ended with an even more fun party! Since Krista and Kelvin met as hired dancers at a Bar Mitzvah, it made sense that dance was a huge focus of the reception. The two even performed a special dance for their guests as the sun set on the ocean.
