A Transatlantic Wedding at The Kemble Inn in Lenox, Massachusetts
Two cultures were combined into one at the wedding of Chris Feige, 32, a consultant, and his English bride Siena Colegrave, 30, a lawyer. The couple met at a mutual friend’s dinner in Cape Cod when Siena was visiting from England. Although she had to fly home only a few days after their first meeting, the couple sparked a connection and began a long-distance relationship. Siena moved to Boston a year later to be with Chris, and he surprised her with a proposal on her 30th birthday. They chose a small inn in the Berkshires as the location for their special day. “Together with the bridal party we took over the inn and our families took over another inn down the road,” Siena says. “The wedding as a whole took over the town.” Due to their unique background, the couple chose a transatlantic theme with a blue color palette for their nuptials. Décor included postcard escort cards, street sign table numbers and British and American candy. Although some problems occurred throughout the day, including rain during the ceremony and a power outage at the reception, the bride and groom didn’t let it dampen their spirit. “The day as a whole felt relaxed, fun, personal and a little bit 'cheeky', which pretty aptly reflects us,” Siena says.
