Samantha and Justin met through a mutual friend at a party at UNC-Chapel Hill. One month later, they had their first date and continued to see each other for three-and-a-half years before getting engaged. The Bride Samantha Reimer, 24, a graphic artist The Groom Justin Carpenter, 25, a lawyer The Date May 16 One Christmas, Justin convinced Samantha that they needed to take a two-hour drive back to Chapel Hill because he accidentally had her gift delivered there. He lured her to dinner near his old fraternity house and popped the question near the Old Well, a UNC water fountain rumored to have lucky powers. Samantha said yes, so maybe it’s not just a rumor after all!

Clear charges trimmed in gold revealed chocolate brown linens. Pale blue napkins were placed on each charger, along with the names of the guests.
The escort cards were tucked inside soft blue envelopes labeled with the names of guests and adorned with delicate floral appliqués.
To break up the room, long banquet tables featured large arrangements of hydrangeas and greenery resting atop glass cylinders filled with orchids. Votives and smaller vases filled with a variety of white blooms sat in between the large centerpieces.
While Samantha carried white blooms, her bridesmaids held brightly colored hydrangeas and ranunculus accented with white poppies.
To thank their guests, the bride and groom packaged mini champagne bottles in monogrammed bags decorated with a special monogrammed “Thank You”.
As a tribute to the root of their relationship, Samantha and Justin had a traditional Methodist wedding ceremony in Chapel Hill, the place where they first met and fell in love.
The five-tiered cake featured the same colorful graphic pattern used on the couple’s invitations. A large letter “C” topped off the confection.
The same style of hydrangea arrangements used at the church adorned the railing outside the Carolina Club, where the reception was held.
Samantha wanted an all-white bouquet full of her favorite flowers: peonies, hydrangeas, and, as a special tribute, lilies of the valley, which her mother carried at her wedding.
