Cara Roberge (33, a patient care coordinator) and Jeremy Egbert (34, a scientist) are among the many couples who met online. In this case, it was eHarmony that brought Cara and Jeremy together for their first Starbucks date. As Cara collects Irish Belleek porcelain pieces, Jeremy put the ring in a Belleek box and proposed after they watched the Fourth of July fireworks in Boston. “I realized she was going to take the lid off before I could get down on one knee! So I nicely grabbed it out of her hand, getting a puzzled look in the process, and started my “speech”, eventually getting down on one knee and opening the lid. She said yes!” says Jeremy. Within four months, they were wed. The couple had a traditional church ceremony and reception in Simsbury, Connecticut filled with white, silver and amber accents. “We were going for classy and elegant,” says Cara. They decorated the white Ethel Walker Chapel with two large arrangements of white hydrangea, roses, lilies of the valley and pink lavender. Afterward, the couple and their 60 guests traveled to The Simsbury Inn for a reception complete with a plated dinner, photo booth and three-tiered chocolate chambord raspberry torte wedding cake. Each of Cara and Jeremy’s friends and family members left with a box of chocolate hearts from Lake Champlain Chocolates.

Cara chose a bouquet of pink and white roses, white freesias, white lisianthus and greenery wrapped in white ribbon to carry down the aisle.
Cara paired her white ball gown with classic white peep-toe shoes accented with a silver brooch detail.
Cara complemented her white A-line wedding dress with an elbow-length veil, tear drop earrings and a double stranded necklace.
Cara and Jeremy chose the Ethel Walker Chapel as their ceremony location because it is “basically the quintessential New England church with a big white steeple, huge windows, gorgeous white interior,” says Cara.
Cara and Jeremy were wed in Simsbury, Connecticut in front of 60 friends and family members. They lit a candle together as part of the ceremony.
Cara chose a strapless white ball gown with beading and a lace overlay for her wedding day. Jeremy complemented the classic look with a black tuxedo and paisley bow tie.
Each of the couple’s guests searched for a picture of themselves, rather than their names, among the place card display. Their names and table were listed on the back of the card, says Cara.
The couple decorated their reception with gold linens, black napkins and silver trumpet vase centerpieces. Each arrangement included white hydrangea, bells of Ireland and white chrysanthemums. “The centerpieces included bells of Ireland in honor of the bride's Irish heritage and her Grandmother,” says Cara.
Cara and Jeremy chose a three-tier chocolate chambord raspberry torte cake covered with french buttercream frosting for their wedding.
